Bliv offers both compounded GLP-1 medications prepared by licensed compounding pharmacies, and access to branded GLP-1 medications manufactured by Novo Nordisk (Ozempic®, Wegovy®) and Eli Lilly (Mounjaro®, Zepbound®). Your prescription will specify which type you have been prescribed. Compounded medications are not FDA-approved finished drug products, though they are prepared under federal standards by licensed pharmacies. Branded medications are FDA-approved. Your Tirzepatide Dosing Plan
Tirzepatide is a GLP-1/GIP receptor agonist prescribed at a starting dose that increases gradually over your treatment cycle. This gives your body time to adjust and helps minimize side effects. Do I Have to Increase My Dose?
No — dose escalation is a guideline, not a requirement. If you are losing weight consistently and tolerating your current dose well, you do not need to increase. Many patients achieve excellent results by staying at a particular dose for an extended period.
You should only consider increasing your dose if:
Your weight loss has plateaued for 4 or more weeks
You are tolerating your current dose without significant side effects
Your Bliv provider has approved the increase
How Long Will My Vial Last?
The duration of your vial depends on your prescribed dose and the size of the vial dispensed by the pharmacy. As your dose increases over time, the same vial will last fewer weeks. Your dosing plan email will specify how many doses your vial contains and how long it should last at your prescribed schedule.
Injection Frequency
Tirzepatide is prescribed as a once-weekly injection, administered on the same day each week. Choose a day that is easy to remember and stick to it.
