What Comes in My Shipment?

A breakdown of everything included in your Bliv shipment, how your medication is packaged, and what the prescription label on your vial contains.

Written by Holley

📋 About Your Medication
Bliv offers both compounded GLP-1 medications prepared by licensed compounding pharmacies, and access to branded GLP-1 medications manufactured by Novo Nordisk (Ozempic®, Wegovy®) and Eli Lilly (Mounjaro®, Zepbound®). Your prescription will specify which type you have been prescribed. Compounded medications are not FDA-approved finished drug products, though they are prepared under federal standards by licensed pharmacies. Branded medications are FDA-approved. If you have questions about which medication you are receiving, please check your prescription label or contact your Bliv provider.

What's Included in Your Shipment

Each Bliv shipment contains everything you need for your current prescription cycle. Standard shipments include:

  • Your medication vial — your prescribed GLP-1 medication as dispensed by the pharmacy

  • Syringes — included as a courtesy; quantity is based on your dosing schedule

  • Alcohol swabs — for cleaning the vial top before each draw

  • Prescription label — affixed to the vial, showing your name, medication, lot number, BUD, and storage instructions

What Is Not Included

Bliv shipments do not include sharps disposal containers or supplements. If you need additional syringes, a link is available in your dosing plan email.

Packaging and Cold Chain

Your medication is shipped in packaging designed to maintain appropriate temperature during transit. Upon receipt, remove the vial from the outer packaging and place it in the refrigerator immediately. Do not freeze your medication.

If your packaging arrived visibly damaged, or if the cold pack inside was entirely warm to the touch with no residual cooling, contact [email protected] before using the medication.

Prescription Label Details

  • Lot number — needed if you ever need to report a defective vial

  • BUD (Beyond-Use Date) — the date after which the medication should not be used

  • Storage instructions — confirms refrigeration requirements

  • Prescribing provider — your Bliv provider's name

Keep this label intact and legible for the duration of your treatment cycle.
