How to Pay with HSA or FSA

How to use your HSA or FSA card to pay for your Bliv membership and medication, and what to do if your card is declined at checkout.

📋 About Your Medication
Bliv offers both compounded GLP-1 medications prepared by licensed compounding pharmacies, and access to branded GLP-1 medications manufactured by Novo Nordisk (Ozempic®, Wegovy®) and Eli Lilly (Mounjaro®, Zepbound®). Your prescription will specify which type you have been prescribed. Compounded medications are not FDA-approved finished drug products, though they are prepared under federal standards by licensed pharmacies. Branded medications are FDA-approved. If you have questions about which medication you are receiving, please check your prescription label or contact your Bliv provider.

GLP-1 Medication Is Generally HSA/FSA Eligible

GLP-1 medications prescribed for a qualifying medical purpose are generally eligible for payment using Health Savings Account (HSA) or Flexible Spending Account (FSA) funds. Bliv accepts HSA and FSA cards at checkout. We recommend confirming eligibility with your plan administrator, as plan rules vary.

How to Pay with HSA or FSA at Checkout

  1. At the payment screen, select your payment method.

  2. If your HSA or FSA card is not visible in the default view, select "More Options" — HSA/FSA will appear there.

  3. Enter your card details as you would a standard debit card.

If Your HSA or FSA Card Is Declined

  • Merchant category mismatch: Telehealth and pharmacy purchases are generally eligible, but your issuer may need to authorize the category.

  • Card not activated: New HSA/FSA cards sometimes require activation before first use.

  • Insufficient balance: Check your account balance before retrying.

  • Card expired or billing address mismatch: Verify your card details.

If declines continue, contact your plan administrator directly.
