📋 About This Product Line
Bliv's men's hair loss treatments are compounded medications prepared by licensed compounding pharmacies based on a valid prescription from a licensed Bliv provider. These are not over-the-counter products. A provider review is required before any treatment is prescribed. If you have questions about which treatment is right for you, your Bliv provider is the appropriate person to consult.
How Bliv Approaches Hair Loss
Male pattern hair loss (androgenic alopecia) is driven primarily by the hormone DHT (dihydrotestosterone), which miniaturizes hair follicles over time. Bliv offers a range of evidence-based and emerging treatments that address hair loss through different mechanisms — from blocking DHT at the hormonal level to stimulating follicle regeneration at the cellular level. Most patients benefit from a combination approach rather than a single treatment.
Available Treatments
Finasteride (Oral)
Finasteride is an oral 5-alpha reductase inhibitor — the most well-established prescription treatment for male pattern hair loss. It works by blocking the conversion of testosterone to DHT, reducing follicle miniaturization at the hormonal level. It is typically taken daily and clinical results are generally seen after 3–6 months of consistent use. Compounded finasteride allows for personalized dosing not available in standard commercial formulations.
Oral Minoxidil
Oral minoxidil is a low-dose systemic vasodilator that promotes hair growth by increasing blood flow to follicles and prolonging the anagen (growth) phase of the hair cycle. It has demonstrated strong results in clinical use, including in patients who did not respond sufficiently to topical minoxidil. Compounded oral minoxidil allows for precise low-dose formulations tailored to minimize systemic side effects.
Topical Minoxidil
Topical minoxidil is applied directly to the scalp and acts locally to stimulate follicle activity and prolong the growth phase. It is available in compounded formulations that can be combined with other active ingredients for enhanced efficacy and tolerability compared to standard commercial versions.
Injectable GHK-Cu (Peptide)
GHK-Cu (copper peptide) is a naturally occurring tripeptide that has demonstrated the ability to stimulate hair follicle growth, increase follicle size, and promote scalp circulation. Delivered via subcutaneous injection, the injectable form allows for systemic bioavailability and is typically used as part of a comprehensive hair restoration protocol.
Topical GHK-Cu (Peptide)
Topical GHK-Cu is applied directly to the scalp to deliver copper peptide activity locally to the follicle. It complements other treatments by promoting follicle regeneration, reducing inflammation, and supporting scalp health. It can be used as a standalone therapy or in combination with finasteride and minoxidil for a synergistic approach.
Which Treatment Is Right for Me?
Your Bliv provider will review your intake information and recommend a treatment protocol based on the degree of hair loss, your health history, and your goals. Many patients are prescribed a combination of treatments — for example, finasteride to address the hormonal driver of loss alongside minoxidil to stimulate active regrowth.
Results vary by individual and treatment type. Hair restoration is a gradual process that typically requires consistent treatment for several months before meaningful results are visible.
